Bean-O put out an APB for Q’s on Tuesday and YHC decided to make the “long drive” across town and signed up for it. Having only Q’d at Shipyard once, YHC was looking forward to the different options that the Shipyard has to offer. After looking at the forecast of more rain, YHC decided that we would stay off of the practice field and stay as clean as possible with some parking lot work. Since the case of the coupons has never been solved, Beano has been transporting them in the back of his truck but he did warn me after the coffee run on Wednesday that they were pretty heavy, so YHC kept that in mind while planning the BC.
Weather – misty but warm. Rain stopped shortly before 5:15.
Disclaimer was given and off we went.
Warm-up
SSH x 20
Imperial Walkers x 20
Cut the grass x 10
We moseyed to Bean-O’s truck and each secured a coupon and quickly realized that he wasn’t kidding about the weight to these blocks. They might put the barnacle blocks to shame at Terrapin. After securing a coupon, each PAX took their coupon to the end of a row of parking lots, left it there, and returned 10 parking spaces away from the block.
Level One Suicide
YHC introduced a new exercise (maybe it isn’t new) that YHC did while tackling Insanity a couple of years ago. It’s called a level one exercise. It goes like this – burpee, 4 merkins, 8 count mountain climber.
Each PAX completed a level one exercise, moseyed to their coupon and completed 10 biceps curls, then lunge walked back to the next parking space and completed another level one exercise. This was repeated until they got back to their block. It was 10 trips down and back. If PAX finished early, they planked to the 6.
AB Work
25 Flutter Kicks IC
25 LBC’s IC
Squat Suicide
Each PAX completed a 15 squats, moseyed to their coupon and completed 10 OH Press, then moseyed back to the next parking space and completed another level one exercise. This was repeated until they got back to their block. It was 10 trips down and back. If PAX finished early, they planked to the 6.
We then moseyed to the front of the school by the benches and completed the same Ab work as above.
Dips and Step-ups
20 dips and 20 step-ups were then performed. The next set was 15 and this was continued until all PAX completed 5 dips and 5 step-ups.
We still had some time to get some work in, so YHC divided the PAX up into 2 teams and we did a bearcrawl slalom starting from in front of the school to the next speed bump. When the entire team crossed the speed bump, each PAX had to perform 15 merkins. We moseyed back to the front of the school for one more round of ab work. After the 3rd round of ab work, recover was called.
We retrieved the coupons and took them back to Bean-o’s truck and we proceeded to count off.

NMS
-The lunge walks were a real crowd pleaser as were the bearcrawls at the end. YHC seems to be in the minority in actually liking bear crawls.
-Great to see some old faces back out this morning with Otis, Uncle Buck, and Nomad coming out in the gloom. Hopefully, they’re not strangers any longer.
-YHC shared Genesis 2:15-17. This is where God tells Adam that he can eat of any tree in the garden except for one. YHC always wondered why God even put the tree there in the first place because if He hadn’t, Adam wouldn’t have been tempted to eat of it and the world would’ve been a much better place. But, He put it there because we all have to make a choice to follow Him or not. He does not make us have faith. And everyday, we have our own trees put in front of us that might look more fun or enticing but are not of Him and we have to make the choice to follow Him and not what the “tree” wants us to do so that we can honor God with our life everyday.
Until next time,
BenGay
