That’s a lot of nonstop planking! I don’t think the first PAX stopped either. I didn’t look up because it was hard enough to do the work and try to keep the count going. Good thing the shoulders are good and warmed up because we are going to need them!

2 rds

Crabwalk down the concrete monster- 5 burpees

Bearcrawl up- 5 burpees

Abs for the 6

So, this was an instant crowd pleaser! Meatloaf lived up to his mumblechatter. I have missed that honestly. Bean-O siad “Belle is doing a crab run!” Hey, I was ready to get this over with! This looked way better on paper. The triceps were smoking on the crabwalk, which I was slightly concerned about knowing all the tricep work I had planned. Oh well….

Benches

Mosey to the benches in front of the school.

Incline merkins/dips – begin with one of each and work your way up to ten of each, then back down to 1 of each. Do not repeat 10. Abs for the 6.

This sounds easy at first. It’s only up to 10 right? When completed, it comes to 100 merkins and 100 dips in a matter of minutes. Everybody was killin it. Of course Bean-O probably had 100 abs done before anybody finished the work. He stays in beast mode. Special K was being an overachiever and may have repeated a few reps. Note to self: if you are expecting a large group, don’t have them all on the benches at the same time. Special K, Tickle, and I were practically doing incline derkins to keep from hitting each other.

The Wall

60 ct peoples chair

20 Merkin wall taps- do a merkin and tap the wall as high as you can with one arm. Alternate arms after each merkin.

60 ct peoples chair

20 merkin wall taps

I started with the people’s chair to give the chesticles a break. Of course Meatloaf said he would have picked a more comfy chair had he known we were going to 60. Aaaaaaaand he said the merkins would have been much easier had we not just done 100. Dudes crushed the chair too. Not one PAX broke either wall sit. I also never noticed the curb in front of the wall, so these ended up being incline merkin wall taps.

Benches behind the school

Mosey to the benches behind the school.

Box jumps/step ups/dips

Same deal here as the front benches but with box jumps/step ups. Benches were frozen over, so we were extra cautious. Bean-O started having flashbacks of the Epicenter. Ask him about it. We made it to 10 and back down to 6 or so before I called recover. We moseyed back to the flag.

NMM- Thanks to every PAX that posted this morning. If it had been this cold a few weeks ago, there might have been 4 or so post. But this quest that we are on to reinvigorate PAX has proven to work. We have some familiar faces from months past come back out and even had an FNG yesterday at Starbucks. T-claps to Judge Hairy for winning the day with that name! But numbers aside, it is hanging out with a PAX that you haven’t seen in a while or getting to post with someone you rarely see because they attend another AO that truly matters. Piddler won the day today though. I get a text from him at 5:01 saying that he just woke up, but he’s coming in hot. Needless to say, he was standing at the flag before 5:15. The thing is, we all benefited from him being there. It was great to have Meatloaf back in the gloom, modifying where he needed, but still giving 100%. Nomad was plowing through the work too. We didn’t waste a minute this morning. These guys worked, and we had no idea it was 22°. Great job men!

Southern Belle is hanging up……
