PAX- Tickle, Encinoman, Otis, Southern Belle
I pulled up at 5:59 to a lot full of cars, and my first thought was “Nice! A big Saturday bootcamp like the days of old!” As I got closer, I noticed that the majority of the PAX were not dressed for a bootcamp, but looked they were getting geared up for a run. Then my next thought was “Crapbags! Is anyone here for the bootcamp, or am I about to get a run in myself?” I then spotted Otis and Tickle standing by the imaginary flag. Encinoman came in just after me to make it a foursome.
No time for a one minute warning. Spewed the disclosure, and it’s time for a quick warmup. It went like this….
20 SSH IC

Bean-O told me the night before that he had ten coupons. Since it was just us four, I said to grab 2 each. I didn’t want Bean-O to think he loaded them all up for nothing. Mumblechatter started really early! And if you have never had the pleasure of using the Bean-O blocks, then you’re missing out. I swear they must be reinforced with rebar or something. Coupons are now acquired. Head to the front of the school at the benches while farmer carrying your two coupons.
The Thang:
Front benches:
The Merkin Walk– PAX line up beside each other in plank position next to a bench with feet toward the curb. On YHC’s command, do one merkin. After the merkin, the PAX closest to the bench will walk his plank position up onto the bench. Remaining PAX will walk their plank positions toward the bench by one spot. Rinse and repeat one merkin IC. PAX one on the bench is doing an incline merkin. All PAX will complete this walk across all the benches to the last bench around the corner. PAX also alternated from incline to decline at every other bench. This was definitely a crowd pleasing, mumblechatter making, shoulder and ab smoker! We could have stopped there and easily called it a day, but there was still more ground to cover.
Grab your coupons and head to the flagpole. All work is OYO.

Farmers carry to the block wall behind the school. Yes, that is exactly as far as you think it is. So, this is where forearm and hand fatigue starts to set in. And it started to set in quick. Every time a PAX had to set their coupons down, the whole group had to drop and do 10 LBC’c and 10 SSH’s OYO. The SSH’s are actually great at shaking those arms out between sets. I’m not going to say which PAX dropped their coupons first, but his name rhymes with Tickle. And he accused YHC of doing a SSH challenge and trying to get a whole month’s worth in one morning. Needless to say, we did a lot of LBC’s and SSH’s.

BOM- YHC prayed us out
Prayer requests/praise reports- All PAX dealing with issues in their lives.
NMM- Even though everyone wasn’t there for the workout, it was great to see PAX out in the gloom on a Saturday morning when the rest of Greenwood fell victim to the seduction of the fartsack. Great work men! I fully anticipated using one coupon per PAX today. Once I knew we could each get two, I will say that I was concerned that we wouldn’t be able to get those coupons back to the truck. We did manage to carry them right at a mile. You never know what you are capable of until you actually try it. Baby Blu did tell me later that he though it sounded like the equivalent to bearcrawling the track. I would venture to say it was close, but these guys killed it! Thank you men for coming out to post with me!
Southern Belle is hanging up…….
