F3 Greenwood

I had originally planned to double down today, but woke up with some slight pain in my back.  I moved some logs yesterday in my yard yesterday as part of my Spartan training regimen and I think it bothered it a bit.  That said, I decided to skip the early workout and then head over to Tsunami for my Q.  As it got closer and closer to “go time” I then decided I was going to sit today out completely.  I sent out text to Pusher and Bean (including the planned workout) requesting them to take may Q.  Silence from Pusher.  Bean responded that his back was hurt as well and he was sitting out.  That said, I manned up, took some Advil, and went to work.  Come to find out, I was just being a bitch.  Once I got up and got moving, the back felt fine and I’m glad I made it to the workout.  Pusher and X-ray joined and we got a solid workout in.

Warm-up –

30 Burpees, 50 Big Boi Situps, and 30 Bonnie Blairs (count right leg only) OYO

 

Mosey to field for Burpee Sprints.

(50 yard sprints)

8 burpees at the far side – 6 at the start – 4 on the far side – 2 at the start

(Cumulative 200 yds of sprints and 20 burpees per round)

  • Great work by all three PAX
  • As I mentioned, it would have been easy to skip today, but I’m glad I didn’t.  Moral of the story:  we all have aches and pains, don’t let it get you down, just get up and get the work done
  • Over 100 burpees and 250 ab exercises were completed today.  Solid start to the day.
