Thankfully Triple Bogey texted YHC on Sunday afternoon asking for the BC to be non-mobile due to him completing the marathon on Sunday or YHC might have forgotten he had the Q. Luckily, YHC had plenty of time to come up with some thing good while sitting at a tennis tournament at Lander and here’s what went down.

Disclaimer was given. As well as a warning that we were going to get wet. (Not sure MaryAnne liked that idea but – TO BAD!)

Go grab a block and meet by the soccer goal that one day appeared and has never left.

The Thang

Premise of the beatdown was this. If a PAX couldn’t complete the prescribed exercise and number of repetitions, everybody had to stop where they were and traverse to the lightpole in a prescribed manner and perform 25 big boy sit-ups and run back to the block. When they returned, PAX picked up where they left off.
Once they completed the prescribed exercise, once again PAX traversed to lightpole, completed 25 big boy sit-ups, moseyed to pull-up bar to complete 5 strict pull-ups. After pull-ups, go back to block and assume plank position on block until 6 was in and we all did a 30-second plank.
    Exercises:

      50 goblet squats
      50 OH Press
50 flutter kicks with block in press position
      50 KB Swings
      50 Curls

After curls, we all moseyed with our block to the bathroom wall. All the PAX with the exception of YHC put their block down. We all assumed a wall sit position and passed the block down and back twice. We then did 10 Australian mountain climbers (hard way). There was still time on the clock and we passed the block down and back three times and then did 15 Australian mountain climbers. We then rifle carried the coupon back to the pile and met back at the shovel flag.

    NMS

5 beasts decided to join me in defeating the Monday fartsack and got their weeks off to a great start. Good to have Pothole back (KB Swings were just for him), Tickle has been Mr. Consistent for the past 6 months or so and it shows, Abadacada is a pull-up machine, Crayola just keeps getting faster.
YHC shared that he has been reading through the OT with Smalls recently and you read of how many times the Israelites lose faith in God even though He promises always to be there and that He will lead them into the Promised Land. And it’s easy to criticize them but we do the same thing. He promises us that He will provide all we need and yet we doubt. At least YHC does at times. And when we doubt, we are like the Israelites. We are called to have faith all the time and trust in His promises.

Until next time,

BenGay
