Sunday night sitting at the house I was thinking of how I was looking forward to Terrapin to start my week off right. I devised a heart pounding race theme for It Pays to Be a Winner. More on that in the BB for the Shipyard on Tuesday.
I talked to Jugs the night before and knew he would be conducting some pre-gloom ops. YHC decided to accompany him for a Sturdy 30. After coming in around 0510, we waited in the parking lot wondering who would post and join us. At 0515, we looked and each other and I offered up a disclaimer. It’s funny doing it for just two pax, but sometimes it’s even funnier when it’s with just one.
Conditions: Just above freezing.
Here is where I divvied out the Thang. The races were aborted and deciding that my right arm still hurt from skiing last Friday I decided a pure run Q was what we’d do. Starting at the asphalt edge sprint to the fence at the south end of the park. A few breaths and then line up touching the fence and sprint down the path to the bathrooms. A few breaths and the line up and race back across through the trees to where we started. Then mosey down the path to the top of the bridge, down and back up the kicker, to the top and back by Pascal’s, into the Terrapin and back to the starting line.
Rinse and Repeat
COT was the whole workout. It was a great start to a Monday morning.
Jugs,
As always a great pleasure my brother.
