Monday’s at Terrapin have become challenge days for our region. Pothole is the current champion after winning a deadhang-off against Crayola. Two weeks ago he was challenged by Pusher to a Triceps Ext competition and last Monday it was supposed to get rowdy. Well it didn’t. Like all the other competitions, it was due to take place immediately preceding the bootcamp except that Pothole showed up too late for the challenge to occur. So we waited a week for the showdown which was to kickoff the start of YHC’s Q. Well, it didn’t happen either. Pusher was the culprit on this occasion and so the challenge is still floating out in the ethereal waiting for a day that they both post early enough to get it done.

WarmUp: 30 Burpees OYO
The THANG: Mosey to the seldom used front green space adjacent to Cambridge and line up shoulder to shoulder.
Lunge Walk from one tree to the next, approx. 30yds. After every 10 right steps perform 10 merkins and 10 VUps. We went down and back.
Mosey to the top of the Spur, Charles St, and perform 5 BDE Burpees (1BDE Burpee= 1 Burpee, 1 full Bonnie Blair, and 1 squat) then return to the parking lot and line up shoulder to shoulder in the plank position waiting on the 6.
Count off by 2’s then pair up. The run and burpees broke the group into teams of similarly capable pax. Mosey to the kiddie playground and line up facing down the hill.
Perform 2 Rds each.
Pax A bearcrawls down the hill to the closest tree, approx 20yds, and then performs 10 merkins and 10 VUps. Once done they back pedal to the start.
Pax B planks for his partner.
Perform 2 Rds each.
Pax A does same as before.
Pax B holds in the 6inches position. Lying on their back, legs extended, hold feet 6 inches off the ground.
Mosey to the top of the Spur and perform 5 BDE Burpees finish lined up in the plank position in the parking lot, same as before.
Mosey to the grinder yard and line up shoulder to shoulder.
Lunge walk from one soccer goal to the other and back. Perform 2 complete Rds. After every 10 right lunge steps, perform 10 merkins and 10 VUps.
Mr. ED: 25 leg raises, 25 LBCs, 25 leg raises, 25 LBCs, 10 merkins, 10 VUps

What challenge?
17 pax is a strong showing on a Monday! It was good to see all the guys out and pushing their limits.
Four basic exercises were used to entertain, enlighten, and educate our physiology for 45 mins. Heartrate up>check, muscles activated>check. It’s not rocket science, if you post consistently you will get better. #JustPost
