Original plan was to repeat above, but wanted to get to the fun.
The Thang – Being 52 with the B-52s
Work is 5 doses of 2 exercises
In between the work, farmer carry 2 blocks from one goal line to the other, leave them to return to other goal line, go back and pick them up and farmer carry back to original goal line. That circuit allows the 5 stations of work.
Penalty for breaking up your farmer carry – 52 Merkins
The work – 52 of each exercise, block work if the block is available, the other exercise if it’s not:
Round 1: Curls and squats
Round 2: Overhead press and WWII sit-ups
Round 3: Kettle bell swings, gas pumpers
Time called.

YHC was totally unprepared for today’s Q so yesterday evening had to come up with a plan. Wasn’t able to celebrate by bday with my fellow PAX so figured that was good inspiration. Birthday @ 52 years immediately brought up the B-52s, so that was the soundtrack for all the work this morning. 52 of everything sounded like a decent plan and the workout took shape.
Wanted to do the farmer carry, but didn’t want to completely shred the shoulders hence the alternating trips. This was a particular favorite when it just so happened that we had to do 52 OHP’s then farmer carry then immediately do another 52 OHPs – and the same thing happened with KB swings. PAX loved it.
YHC was impressed that no one incurred the Merkin penalty until about 30 seconds till time was called a single PAX had to drop his blocks. Won’t single out this poor brother but it rhymes with Hairy Man. UJ had the benevolent idea of everyone doing 10 Merkins for this poor brother in need and the timer went off just as the Merkins were being wrapped up. Beautiful ending to the work out.
A few skinny runners showed up in the end to help us celebrate.
B-52s were an interesting background as at one point Mary Anne pointed out it just sounded like a single woman was yelling at the other end of the field.
Good to see UJ back out after so long and other PAX that aren’t seen as often. A good time was had and work was done.
Till next one,
Tickle out
