It was Tuesday evening when a call went out for a subQ at The Shipyard. YHC checked who was Q’ing Fury…..Uncle Jesse. Ok, Thursday’s are usually a good attendance day and UJ always brings some folks out of the wood work so I might can take it. I quickly replied back that I’d take the Q if it was still available. Tickle responded with it’s all yours. YES! So here we go.
A car that appeared to be Tickle’s pulled out of his neighborhood a little ways ahead of me. I managed to catch it at the traffic light and determined based upon the F3 sticker that it was in fact Tickle. Sweet. So we caravanned into the parking lot to find 2C already there waiting on us. It was 0505. The guys at Fury were already soaked in sweat and I was just getting out of my car. Dang. Gotta make these 45 minutes count. Others started arriving and out of the night came Sunshine running in from his casa. Pretty cool to get a warm up and cool down lap in as extra work.
Conditions: Warm but not as warm as Tuesday. Humid but not as humid as Tuesday. Rain was expected but wasn’t falling presently.
Disclaimer: Given (YHC forgot it on Tuesday’s Q at Fury)
The Warm Up:
50 Burpees
Mosey to the practice field.
50 Flutter Kicks (count 1 leg)
Mosey to the blocks grab one and muster in front of the concessions stand.
50 Kettle Bell Swings
Leave the blocks and up onto the Football grandstand.
50 Leg Raises at the end of a bench.
Mosey back to the blocks and thus the Warm Up is complete.
The THANG:
Mosey to the patio behind the school with blocks in hand.

10 Leg Raises
10 Curb Merkins (mosey to the rd behind the school and then return)

Once complete, I always like to try new experiments and expose guys to different work that maybe no one else has done or a spot that no one else has used.
The wall by the Patio was it now. Break up into partners and go drop a block off by the outdoor shed (approx 25 yds).
1 pax wall sits while the other runs from the wall to the block, performs 20 Thrusters, and then returns.
Next exercise.
1 pax goes to the block and assumes the decline plank position while pax 2 performs 20 Reverse Crunches and then runs to the blocks.
Flap Jack
5 minutes left, time to head back to the block pile. BUT WAIT THERE’S MORE! We gathered back in front of the concessions stand and pumped out a last little work.
20 Ovhd Presses
20 Curls
20 Alpo’s
20 Triceps Extensions
20 (each arm) One Armed Farmers Carry Shoulder Shrug

It’s been too long since I’ve Q’d the Shipyard. It was good to see some folks I haven’t seen in a while. After spending most of my time at Fury, the thought most prevalent after leaving the Yard was, “that place sure could use a set of pull up bars!”
