Beautiful morning in Laurens County. Arrived early to survey the site and make sure football field was open. The first car with a couple of passengers showed up, and a gentleman dressed in plaid button-down shirt stepped out, asked me if I was Wes. “No, sorry” was my reply then started describing why I was there, for a “mens’ workout group”. Lo and behold, he was really there for the workout! He was, of course, was looking for SNOOP (aka Wes). Pleasantly surprised but still a little thrown off by the apparel, I was at least glad to know someone was showing up. Two more men showed up to work, including Snoop, and we were off.

Snoop delivered a devotional, perfectly applicable to us all.
Announcements of meeting again same time in exactly one week, and flyers to post in prime locations were handed out. No prayer requests today, except for the men of Laurens County and for F3LaurensCounty.
Prayer was given to God Almighty for a glorious day and for the privilege of spending in His creation – and our day was over. Everyone had places to be and people to see, so no coffeeteeria today – have to fix that.
Overall great work was done by a group of men, some of whom are not yet acquainted with our type of physical work being done in the gloom. Nonetheless, everyone rose to the challenge, modifying as needed and scaling back as needed, but continuing to work for themselves and the other PAX.
F3LaurensCounty is struggling to be, but they have a great leader in Snoop, with a good strategy and a huge effort in trying to reach the men of the Laurens/Clinton area. With the continued effort and just a little luck and God’s will, the group will rise up in numbers and character and become a huge force in reshaping the landscape of leadership in the area.
Good luck to you fellows. I enjoyed working beside you again, and hope to do so again in the future.
