Last night some chatter surfaced to see whether RunTheWood or RedFriday could get the most pax. If it isn’t already obvious, I enjoy a friendly rivalry. In this case, it was good motivation to go a little further in getting the word out about our Friday options. But more on that in a minute.
This morning, the disclaimer was given and 12 pax ran or walked from the fountain. Well, technically one just did a fly-by, but we counted him anyway. The route was pax choice. So, after the disclaimer, everyone headed out for various distances. All returned safely, we were counted, we were named and we prayed.
It was really good to see Thumper out and running. He’s been burning the midnight oil to make sure people are keeping cool this summer. Spud and Uncle Buck were also out and about. Good work getting back after it guys.
Regarding the competition with RedFriday, RunTheWood won, of course. But the pax that overcame the fartsack are the real winners. And if the competition was at least a slight nudge to get a few out in the Gloom, it was totally worth it.
I know I don’t really need to say this, but keep encouraging guys to get back out in the Gloom for a walk, run, ruck or bootcamp. There are some good reasons for putting F3 on pause, but we could all use a little push once in a while. I know I need it more than I’d like to admit.
Great work to everyone who posted this week. And for those that didn’t, we’re still here when you’re ready to get back at it.
Until next time, CC
