Sugar was on the Q calendar as having the Q for this run today; however, he contacted YHC late yesterday afternoon, informing me that he wanted to post at RED Friday and wanted to know if I would be willing to Q this workout. Gladly, I accepted. Friends helping friends. That is what it’s all about.
Yesterday, Polly had his VQ and had an awesome Backblast. In the backblast, there were many Batman references. It kinda stuck with me the rest of the day. So, I’m returning the favor and posting my own Batman video. After watching this, it should stick with you the rest of the day, too. You are welcome, by the way. It has absolutely nothing to do with this workout, it’s just keeps the Batman theme alive in your mind for a while.
Anyway, 10 PAX decided to wake up and post. We met at the green fountain (thank goodness it wasn’t yellow). Prior to the run, Kaboom mentioned that he had to run off all the corned beef from his Saint Patrick’s day meal. YHC actually had to make an emergency trip into the Courthouse prior to the run, for the same reason (there wasn’t a wall like at the Shipyard), and Hysteria also had to cut his run a little short to try to get home to “beat the clock.” He made it home in time, by the way. So, there was a theme. And, it was a successful run, all the way around.
YHC opted to invoke the “Wolverine.” Meatloaf was the mastermind of this Route and it’s a personal favorite of mine.
Disclaimer was given and the PAX set out on this journey called “The Wolverine:”
Leave the fountain, cross Main Street at the Inn on the Square intersection, run past County Bank plaza, go up the stairs near TW Boons, run down the stairs near the Watson Law firm, go to up the next set of stairs near the old Bank of America building, and go down the stairs at the opposite end, run along Main Street to Seaboard, and run to the redlight and back (be wary of the pot hole(s) and the cars that don’t switch lanes), take a right onto Main street, run down into Hampton Place, up to Main Street and back to the fountain (don’t forget to run up and down the stairs on this stretch too).

Announcements: Convergence tomorrow at 6:30, so no workout at the Shipyard. Also, be sure to read the Newsletter. Juggernat kicks ass with this newsletter, so read it and get involved. He can see when/if you open the newsletter. We did mention that Juggernaut was like Santa Clause, He knows when you are sleeping and he knows when you’re awake.
Prayers: Boy George’s 2.0 is still fighting pneumonia. Praise report for Fabio – got his cast off and ran 3.0 miles yesterday.
As always, it was a pleasure. Until next time….
