Starbucks had 24 Special Brews run, walk, or mosey for a workout in the gloom. Welcome Sloth, aka Josh Skinner.
Conditions: 58F and clear skies
Disclaimer: Made prior to the 1 minute warning. Directions and a warning about watching traffic were given at this time also.
The THANG: Run, walk, or whatever, but be back in 45 minutes for COT. Most went up the Bypass towards Walmart on the traditional route.
COT
Announcements: F3 Campout this Friday/Saturday, Saturday’s workout will be at the Shipyard at 0630 for Ultimate Frisbee
Prayers: None were given, probably because the mumblechatter became excessive and Alpo had to break out an old Navy bark, “Lock it UP!” We prayed for the unspoken requests just the same. Along with Pusher’s family, Pacer’s family, BluBalls, and Rocky
NMM: Welcome Sloth! There was very little input from the pax as to names, but eventually someone picked up that he was a basement dweller for the County. Which hearkened YHC back to one of his childhood movies, The Goonies. Sloth is one of the greatest basement dwellers of all time. Not only does he befriend Chunk and help the other Goonies, he gets to stick it to his captors. Hopefully one day our Sloth can find his way out of the basement with such pizazz! The other potential names could have driven the Goonies story deeper with Chester Copperpot, which would have been too long to say, or One Eyed Willy, which noone was going to let that fly. Sloth it is.
Tclaps to Thumper for continuing to deliver 5+mile runs every Wednesday. Today was no different. He comes early and leaves early so that he can make it back by 0600. This guys got the BRR spirit if ever there was such a thing!
Kotters to Detour, Mr. Clean, Boy George, and Cobra Kai.
Finally, a man that started posting just recently has been bringing the heat when he does. Tootsie Roll is bringing it back like TagTeam’s topping the charts. Man On Fire!
It’s always a fun time and one of my favorite days to post. Stay tuned for some big plans JJ and Sugar have for an upcoming SBucks run. Until next time, see ya in da gloom.
