Hustle has been invaded by Spartans…we will occupy the AO until some runners show up and run us off…after a quick disclaimer, the invasion started like this…
the battle field = concrete monster, adjoining hill and practice field…
the weapons = a large tire and rope, couple of buckets of gravel and a field covered in imaginary barb wire
the battle plan = rotate between “weapons” as available…. flip tire 20 yards or so and back to the monster base, then attach rope and pull tire hand over hand up the steepest part of the monster approximately 10 yards…rotate to gravel buckets and carry via bear hug or Spartan carry up and down the concrete monster and adjoining asphalt hill to total 1/4 mile or so…or until exhaustion (that bucket is no joke) ….then rotate to the practice side of the monster, bear crawl to the top, do 10 burpees, down the stairs to the practice field and army crawl (as low as you can get) “under the barb wire” across the field and back, up the stairs , 10 more burpees and work your way down and cycle back thru….
this “battle” will continue every Monday until said battle is won…
we circled up, counted, named and prayed…for each other, our brothers, school students and teachers and most importantly this morning Charlottesville Va and the tensions there…we seem to be repeatedly taking 1 step forward and 2 steps back…
it was a pleasure leading the workout this morning…YHC has a long way to go but F3, that Wood and the Brothers continue to push and inspire…
