F3 Greenwood

When I pulled up to the Uptown Fountain around 5:10, my heart sunk. NO CARS. “Great,” I thought. I could have run by myself from home and slept in a little bit. Honestly, I knew there was little chance for a nice crowd to run the hills this morning, but I was not expecting a solo run. Most of our runners are running the Swamp Rabbit Half Marathon on Saturday, so it just makes sense that they would rest today. As I sat and waited, I was hoping for at least one more to post. I would have been totally comfortable with the awkward 2 PAX BOM today. Thankfully with about 2 minutes to go before I headed out on my own, Cobra Kai pulled up directly followed by Special K. I let them know how glad I was to see them and laid out my plan for the day.

Disclaimer was given and off we went to run our newest addition to the #HillsAreAlive routes, The Bearcat.

The Bearcat: Run to the fountain entrance to Lander University. Run down Crews St. to the bottom of the hill and hang a left onto Willson St. Run to the peak of the hill on Willson. Run back to the intersection of Stanley and Crews. Repeat until time is called.

All returned to the fountain at 6. It was good to see Piddler’s truck at the Uptown Fountain when we returned. He came out to get in a couple miles before his big Swamp Rabbit Half Marathon on Saturday.

Good luck to all the F3 Greenwood PAX running the Swamp Rabbit Half Marathon on Saturday!

Thank you for the opportunity to lead the workout and serve my fellow F3 PAX
