This week we decided to team up with another running group, the ladies of While America Sleeps, to raise some money for a needy family in our community. Our original plan was to run through the Uptown/Maxwell Ave/Connie Maxwell Christmas lights, but all of the pieces did not fall into place to get all of the lights on for our run. No problem though. We modified and adjusted and turned our Wednesday run into an Out and Back from the Uptown Fountain.
Some people say F3 guys are crazy for getting up before dawn to workout outside no matter the weather, we spend as much time on social media as teenagers, we have ridiculous nicknames, and use a language that only makes sense to us. One thing that people cannot say about the PAX of F3 Greenwood is that we do not step up to help those in our community when we see a need. We don’t just talk about serving our community, we take action. This is one of my favorite things about F3. We are a group of men who are willing to step up to help in a variety of ways in the community. This morning we raised almost $500 for a family that could use some help during the Holiday season. Great job guys!
Now for the Thang:
Out n Back Run– 22.5 mins out/22.5 mins back to the Uptown Fountain, or whatever distance is on your “plan”.
Disclaimer given with an extra warning to look out for cars.
Everyone returned and we circled up.
