17 pax met in Uptown Greenwood at the #FountainHead for a little mosey called the OnB! However, today was anything but an OnB! Some pax went here and some pax went there. Some pax went regular, some went XXXL and many others went somewhere between. Many had #BRR on their minds, some a 5K, others just looking to get back in shape. Despite all this variety, all the pax are fueled by a desire to improve themselves and the brothers they are out running with at this crazy time of morning. It is what we do…..show up for the pax beside us. We push each other and encourage each other for 45, 60, 90 minutes. We hope we were able to walk and run a little farther or maybe a little faster. Most of us perhaps pushing ourselves beyond limits we thought we had lost or maybe never knew we had. It is almost like an awakening for most. Fueled by a determination to get better in the 3 F’s of not just fitness but fellowship and faith as well. After the sweat is poured we gather back around a flag. The past few months we have knocked out 22 Merkins for those soldiers male and female that have committed suicide. Today we add 2 more for the deployed pax Lego and Mulligan. Then we give any prayer requests we have. There are usually many. We all have issues in our lives or know others who do. This is a chance to pray with and for each other. Shortly after some brief fellowship ensues and then it is off to tackle the day ahead. Many better off because they took that step out of bed knowing that small step may make him a little better and the men around him better as well.
