After reading a public plea from Dixie Chick, YHC gladly accepted a last minute request to Q the weekly Fountain Out-N-Back. Due to the low level of mumblechatter the night before, and the number of PAX who just tested themselves at the Spartan race….YHC was pleasantly surprised to see a number of PAX already on course as he rode through town and parked. Greeted by several additional PAX eager to put in some miles, Q did not hesitate and gave the disclaimer for those few present to hear it.
Weather: Perfect…warm enough/cool enough, lots of fog. Now is the time to get out and keep moving. With time change and weather temps dropping, is won’t get any easier to post for a while.
Disclaimer was given at 5:15….including reminder to watch out for vehicles due to low visibility, and away we went.
The Thang:
Some left early, some ran far, some mixed walk and run….ALL got better.
All arrived safely back at Fountain at or around 06:00 and circled up for COT.
Announcements: Several upcoming races (Turkey Trot, Paris Mountain, Reindeer Run), all PAX safely returned from Spartan race
Prayer Requests:
Boy George’s oldest 2.0 with recent health issues and niece recently diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes. Fabio’s father dealing with Type 2 diabetes. Injured PAX (Judge Judy, Alpo, Polly) hoping for quick recovery and safe return to the gloom.
NMS:
YHC shared familiar verse from Psalm 100:4 – Enter his gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise. Give thanks to him and praise his name. PAX were reminded that the holiday season is quickly approaching, schedules will become hectic, and patience will be tested….all were encouraged to take time to thank God from whom all blessings flow. We have MUCH to be thankful for (health, safety, M/2.0s, warm home, job that pays the bills, etc)….don’t take it for granted.
