F3 Greenwood

YHC signed up to Q long before he had planned out his last weeks of prep for the #BRR. Two days prior I had just fished 18 miles in 26 hours. No speed work was happening today. Did want to run some hills and get in about 6 miles so let the PAX know night before that no speed work would be happening.

Well 2 of my best friends and 2 of the biggest, if not the 2 biggest, inspirations of F3Greenwood joined YHC. One would be glad he joined and other thought afterwords it might be a mistake.

Route explained head out toward Fountain and see how far you can get in 22.5 minutes then turnaround and come back. Easy enough right, well not if your Polly and your afraid of trash cans and very drunk women walking alone barefoot at 5am on dark side streets.

As we were going out we passed a lady stumbling and swaying as she walked as much as one person can without falling down. As YHC went by not a word was exchanged but as Polly and Judge went by the inner cheerleader in this intoxicaed woman awoke and she began cheering them on and talking about how they were inspiring her. Well Polly was inspired by her swaying and stumbling and decided to step off the curb wrong and twist is ankle and do a nice tuck and roll. Only the Judge was witness and Polly was asked to and passed the field sobriety test. His ankle passed the running test as well and he was able to recover to close out the run by well….running.

It’s been a pleasure and an honor to call these me my brothers and friends for years now and I’ve enjoyed getting to know them better and being inspired by all they have accomplished over the last 5 plus years we have been in a small group together. Keep pushing the rock guys, you doing great and killing it!
