Today started week two of a training plan I have mapped out through December. At this point, I feel like I’ve already got one foot in the door of the struggle bus. So, this morning when the alarm went off, it took a lot more effort to get out of bed than it took to run 3 miles from the fountain. At any rate, I’m glad I decided to Q today. I definitely would have fartsacked given the opportunity.

It was great to see guys already out getting a head start before I even arrived Uptown. At 0515 as usual, the disclaimer was given and pax hit the road for various miles and distances. When we got back, I noticed that we had a few more people than we started with. In my sleepy state, it didn’t occur to me that a few of the unexpected pax have been Hustle regulars of late. Later I did some brief investigating to determine whether or not anyone posted at The Hustle. As far as I can tell, most of the Hustle pax bailed and came to the fountain. Papercut stayed and did some track work. But, I’m counting him here.

After all was said and done, we were counted, we were named and Fabio prayed.

I’m glad I got out in the Gloom. It was particularly good to see Mac-n-Cheese and Uncle Buck out there.

Until next time, CC
