Clover’s Corner was started up back in July out of necessity for a place to post for the local BBQ festival. Yes, it started on a Wednesday, but that was really a BRR training experiment that was an attempt at finding a spot for the festivus and for relieving the “problematic” crowd at SBucks. It’s a great starting point with 6 neighborhoods all structured with rolling hills. Up until now we’ve only really utilized 4 with an occasional visit to the fartherest, Locksley Hall. Today we explored the 6th.
Belle Meade is a large subdivision that has many hills and on Halloween, an inordinate amount of trick or treaters. There also happens to be a convergence BoM at SBucks at 0600 to send Rodman off to see his family. We’ll explain more of that later. For now, let’s take a stroll through the Meade.
Conditions: 70’s humid, typical day in the lower upstate.
Disclaimer:
The THANG: Leave the GHS parking lot, turn left onto Cokesbury and left into Belle Meade. Run straight up the big hill, a smaller hill, and then right onto Greenbrier. Hang a left on Colonial and follow it up the hill to hang a left onto Wellington. Cross Belle Meade Rd and run to the end of Sheldon. Take a right on Colonial all the way back to the front and then turn left onto BM Rd. Right on to Colesbury and back to the high school.
COT: We decided to converge for the COT at Starbucks. Rodman’s baby cousin has been battling for health the last few weeks and finally succumbed to the struggle. The family are all gathered in Ohio and he had no means of getting there, until yesterday morning. The pax of The Wood rallied together to get him a plane ticket just 90 minutes after the word of little Carter’s demise circulated SocMed. We’re sending him off with prayers. You can read more about it on the Starbucks BB.
