The Starbuck’s run has had its #problematic issues for months. 30+ pax posting is a common number and the parking lot was getting slammed. COT was difficult. Alternatives can and went……….. now it looks like we may be on to something! Last weekend( one of the best in Greenwood) we had a little BBQ Festival set-up at the #Fountainhead. So many pax attended it also became #problematic but that is another story. BBQ Tacos anyone? UncleBuck threw out a nice alternative to the usual Hill workout and that was to meet at GHS and run the Clover. A concoction from a previous run group Uncle Buck calls the Morning Men. Sounds kind of like F3 in another time. The new venue was a smashingly painful hilly success. So much so, it was recommended to get into the rotation for run groups.
So here we are today…….10 pax gathered for another go on the Clover. YHC had the Q and having missed the inaugural run felt it appropriate to Q it up again. Disclaimer! The route……Meet at the Band Tower in GHS parking lot. Run to Cherokee Hills go left once in neighborhood and suffer. Then cross over to Forest Hills stay straight and run around the hood. Next out and take a right, then another right at the light and head into Druid Hills. (The names of the neighborhoods really sum it up….maybe todays route should be called The Triple H) Left into Druid Hills and around. Then you have option of returning to base or make a loop through Locksley Hall. (One brave sole did this) More later.
4.8 miles for The Triple H, 7 miles for the Quad or Clover.

Multiple pax kick-started their Triple H run with a little stretching of the legs from Starbucks to GHS.
Polly took a wrong turn at Alpo’s house…..where is the BatSignal when you need it.
Doogie MD added the 4th H and knocked out Locksley Hall for an extra 2 miles…..oh yeah he was wearing Vibrant Five Fingers and cruising with Pacer!
BoyGeorge called an audible or something and returned to Starbucks instead of GHS. Guess he wanted to get in line for coffee…..uh water first! So the COT count and official count for this run goes to 9.
Personally, what an awesome run. Cherokee HILLS is a beast. It was a challenging course to say the least! My heart rate was almost Max BPM! Many possibilities with Clover’s Corner. I know of another hill just waiting to join the rotation. #tclaps men. Always a pleasure! Aye!
