Shortly after starting F3, YHC attended a HeroHills Q in which pax ran the stairs of Uptown in combination with a few of the hills. This route is called the Wolverine. YHC wanted to bring this one back for last week’s run but didn’t quite remember how it went. After pinging a few pax for the rundown, YHC discovered that Meatloaf was the creator of this beast.
Meatloaf gladly shared the route and YHC, in turn, was ready to share it with the pax.
After arriving at the fountain, the route was described to the sleepy-eyed pax—faces quickly turned to looks of “you must be crazy if you think I’m joining you for that.” So, most went freestyle and two ran some hills and stairs—crushing the Wolverine in all its glory. More importantly, we posted, we ran and we all got better.
Conditions: Possibly cold. Who can remember. That was days ago.

- Head out across Main St toward Inn on Square
- Turn left onto sidewalk in front of Countybank
- Run up sidewalk and up the first flight of stairs head
- Run across the top and down the other staircase
- Run up the second flight of stairs
- Run across the top and down the other straircase
- Head toward Seaboard and go down Seaboard to the red light
- Turnaround and go back up Seaboard
- Head across Main Street toward Big Mac
- Run down the first hill into the shopping center
- Run across and back up the hill by Big Mac
- Head back toward the fountain
- Running up the first set of stairs on this side
- Run across the top and down by Howard’s
- Head back to the fountain to complete the first lap
- Rinse and repeat
