F3 Greenwood

On Wednesday, Tootsie Roll put out the need for a Q for this Friday’s workout.  Knowing that I still needed to get Wk2 of the Iron Pax Challenge completed, I volunteered with the condition that we would do it then. Duggar and BeanO were both interested in doing the workout on Friday well.  We texted periodically and appeared to be the only 3 that were posting due to the lack of response from an HC list.  Thursday evening came around and Duggar agreed to bring his brand new coupons and so everything was set.  At 0456 Friday morning Duggar shoots out a text that he is running late and still has to stop to pick up the coupons from the Shipyard and Fury………….

Conditions: Hot Humid and accompanied with some freshly cut grass at the Epicenter

Disclaimer: Forgotten

Gearlander: Black running shorts, MudGear RF shirt, B&W gloves, Brooks Red Glycerin 13 shoes, Nike shorty socks

WarmUp: What is this?

The THANG:

After arriving early to set up the workout for the 3 of us, YHC noticed a few more cars started to roll in.  None of them were Duggar’s.  Change of plans for where we are running it, the track isn’t big enough for this many folks so we slid over into the soccer field. Everyone grabbed a block and lined up ready to get their work on.  Except Duggar.

YHC waits for Duggar until 0520, 5mins after RF starts.  Ultimately the show must go on. (Truth Nugget: This is the longest that YHC has waited on any pax before beginning a workout.)

Iron Pax Challenge Wk2:

A minute or two into the first set and here comes Duggar carrying a block and hollering about how we started without him.  YHC reflected on the 7Ps repeatedly instilled as a sailor.  Prior Planning Prevents Piss Poor Performance.  And so Duggar began set 1 when the rest of us began set 2.  This put the finish and COT/BOM behind schedule which finally closed out around 0630.

NakedManMoleskin:

  • Glad that Duggar posted late rather than getting discouraged and going back home.  Kinda wished he would have went home, cuz then YHC would have been the Top Challenger of the Greenwood region for Wk2.
  • Welcome Buford T (Matt Goff) to F3 Greenwood.  He chose a horrible workout to start his F3 career, and breezed right through it.  He mentioned needing a little bit more cardio training for his martial arts events.  F3 is by far the best daily cardio trainer that I’ve ever heard of!
  • Lemon posted this morning with some crazy stuff going on with his family.  Sometimes its good to get out and sweat to find some perspective.  He continues to improve both at bootcamps and in his running.
  • Thanks to BeanO and Sour for pushing me through the reps.
  • Thanks to Tootsie Roll, Baby Blu, and broken Pacer for showing up to Proctor and motivate us all.

Remember that we have the chance to freely and safely enjoy working out in the gloom because courageous men and women volunteer to go in harms way on our behalf.  They deploy to keep the fight off of our lands and away from our shores.  They work through the night here at home protecting our streets and rushing to save our friends from injuries and fires.  To those service men and women, LEOs, and 1st Responders we say thank you.
