YHC definitely wasn’t feeling like a RED Friday beatdown after what I did to my body yesterday with the amount of food that I consumed. The only calories I counted were the ones I shoved in my mouth, and there were a lot. I was also feeling the aftermath of a double down yesterday with the Murph at Fury and a Koby Q at Talon. But when I pulled in to the Epicenter, 3 faithful PAX were there awaiting the arrival of the Q. I tossed around several WOD’s in hopes of finding something that wouldn’t trigger the merlot bubbles. But RED Friday wasn’t meant to be easy, so Helton it is. It turned out to be a Pacer chase. Pacer was turning it on. It was all I could do to keep him in sight. Tickle, the frog leaping phenom of F3Greenwood, continues to get stronger with every bootcamp. And that has been many bootcamps the last several months. I think he’s got this heart rate thing figured out and it’s working for him. It was great to see Hyster back out. He will be the first to tell you that it sucks to come back after being out of the routine for a while. He put in 120% though and crushed the work. Look forward to see him out in the gloom more often. I wasn’t feeling it at first, but I’m glad I agreed to Q, because it was the accountability that I needed to get me up and moving. I would recommend to any PAX to do the same. Step up, pick an AO and a date, and put your name in. Simple as that. Do it for yourself and for the PAX that show up day in and day out. It was my pleasure to lead this solid group of men this morning. They could have slept off the triptofan, but opted for the harder thing.
Southern Belle is hanging up….
