VQ: Foley
The Disclaimer was given and read aloud with “gusto”: “This is a free, volunteer, peer-led workout. I (YHC) am not a professional. I have no knowledge of any injuries or fitness considerations you may have. Therefore, it is your responsibility to be safe and modify exercises as you deem appropriate.”
RED Friday: 10 Pax honored U.S. Army Staff Sgt. Romans 5:1-5 Peace and Hope
Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have gained access by faith into this grace in which we now stand.
And, we boast in the hope of the glory of God. Not only so, but we also glory in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope. And hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit, who has been given to us.
The reading was shared because it speaks about the very definition of F3 – the very definition of each of the members represented today and at every workout. Men committed to fitness, fellowship, and faith. It has been said before and worth repeating, F3 has helped each of us in more ways than we realize. For this we are grateful.
Our Lady of Victory… Pray for Us. Our Lady of Victory… Pray for Us. Our Lady of Victory… Pray for Us. In Jesus name we pray… Amen.
Mumblechatter
The humidity set the tone for the morning and YHC knew this Hero WOD was going to be a grinder. And the humidity did disappoint. The disclaimer was given at 5:15 and we got after it with a warmup and went right into the thang.
Pacer set the tone and led the entire day. He did an outstanding job posting a 35:04. An incredible and solid performance for certain. The remaining PAX fought gallantly for the remainder of our time and “Recovery” was called about 4 minutes later at 6:00 a.m. Unfortunately we were unable to tackle the Tailpipe. Another day perhaps.
We circled up for some light stretching (hip flexors might give a reminder or two later today), we made announcements and prayer requests and we enjoyed a passage from Romans 5: 1-5.
As this was my VQ, I was admittedly nervous; trying to make sure I considered everything, was organized for the work out, and ready to go… I believe as I “Q” more sessions this will get easier. The one thing that was so awesome is that everyone was patient and gave me the time to get things started. #F3 Proud.
