4 Pax decided to turn this Black Friday RED by posting for a #REDFriday beat down. Servais would be the call of the day. We’ve had Servais on our list of HERO WOD’s for a while now, but due to the normal time constraints of our workouts we have yet to call it. With today being a holiday for most of the Pax, YHC signed up for the Q a while back so that we could take advantage of the extra time due to not having to go to work. The extra time was definitely needed (See results below).

Servais is named in honor of U.S. Air Force Senior Airman Adam Servais.

NMS:

* Unfortunately many of the Pax that had been looking forward to this Hero WOD being called either had scheduling conflicts or were suffering from lingering injuries. But the 4 Pax that posted can attest to the difficulty of this WOD.
* Tclaps to F3 Gullah and F3 Sony for posting to what is usually our toughest workout of the week. It was great to work beside y’all!
* Mumble Chatter was more prevalent today than at most #REDFriday’s. This was a welcome distraction when you just completed round 3 of 8 and you felt like you were about to pass out.
* As usual encouragement was abundant. Juggernaut took the lead in this area. He always seemed to say good job or keep pushing just when we needed to hear it.
* YHC feels that the 8 rounds of work would make for a solid WOD by itself. Little did I know that the REAL suck wouldn’t start until you grabbed both coupons and started that mile Farmer’s Carry. The true mental test kicked in around the 1/3 mile mark when you were struggling to hold on to the coupons and you realized you were not even halfway. I exact thought that went through my mind was “There is not 4th Fing way this is going to happen”. But as we do with most Hero WOD’s, we dig deep and make a way for it to happen.

As always, it’s an honor…
Until the next Q,
MM is out.
