Alright, gentlemen. It’s that time of year again. No, not Thanksgiving or Christmas. It’s F3 North Augusta’s Anniversary. On December 6 we will have been open for business for 2 years. Man, has it been fun!
Last year we celebrated our birthday with a 4 1/2 hour hike/run/workout which we dubbed “The River Crawl”. Well, at the request of many of the Pax, ITS BACK!!! Yep, we are gonna do it again, but this time with a couple more twists.
So here’s the scoop. On Saturday December 10 we will meet at Lady A Amphitheater (AKA The Pain Center) at 6 am. After a short warm up C.O.P. we will head down Evans-to-Locks Rd. Once we reach Savannah Rapids Pavilion we will stop for another C.O.P. and continue our jaunt down the Augusta Canal. We will stop again just before we cross the Savannah River into North Augusta for a C.O.P. and fuel break. Once across the river, we’ll head up the Greeneway until we reach our home AO, Riverview Park (AKA The River). Of course, we will end with one last C.O.P. and then a COT & BOM.
Those of you that participated last year will notice that we have reversed the direction this year. No big reason. Several people suggested it and YHC agreed, so there ya go!
The entire event will take us a little over 4 hours, mostly depending on how much time we run vs walk. But it’s a wonderful 4+ hours to get to know your F3 brothers, and HOPEFULLY we can get some Pax from other regions/AO’s to come participate. For those of you on the fence, for incentive there will be a full cooler waiting at the end!
And yes, there will be plenty of carpooling so that no one is left without a ride to or from. Feel free to contact me at cbuffwaters@gmail.com for any questions.
