F3 Greenwood

3 Pax decided to man up and take on Junior and Fury Road. Not only did we tackle the hills, but we also got in a little ab work and knocked a dent into the required daily Merkin count. It went a little like this:

Conditions: Wasn’t too cold, wasn’t too hot, so… that means it was just right.

Disclaimer: As the 3 Pax stood by the shovel flag awaiting additional Pax, time snuck up on us and low and behold it’s 0515. Let’s get busy, starting with I’m not a professional.

Warm Up:

Mosey over to Junior, cutting through by the Dog Park Pond. (Being careful to avoid the Trench of No Return, that somehow miraculously Uncle Jesse escaped without injury. Yes I’m aware that little fact should debunk the name, but this is YHC’s BB.)

Set 1:

20 Big Boy Sit Ups and the bottom of Junior
Run up Junior to the Utility Pole with the Street Light
20 Merkins
Rinse and Repeat x 5

Mosey over to Fury Road

Set 2:
20 Merkins at the bottom of Fury Road
Run up Fury Road to the last entrance to Merrywood
20 Reverse Crunches
Rinse and Repeat x 5 (Due to time constraints we were only to work in 3 sets.

Mosey back to the Shovel Flag

22 Merkins to bring awareness to the struggles of our returning Veterans.

Announcements: (was drawing a blank here so I’ve added a few for the BB)
* Memorial Day Murph: 0700 at the Epicenter
* Boy George has plans coming out about Pax/2.0 opportunities. He’s putting together some good stuff.
* Huston Launch. See Juggernaut or Alpo for info on how to help.

Prayer Requests:
* Continued Prayers for Refugee’s 2.0. Praise report here also! 2.0 has shown progress after surgery by having less episodes and they are spread out more in between them.
* Pax with injuries or trials
* Families of Military Personnel that have paid the ultimate sacrifice for us.

NMS:
* Tclaps to Refugee and Crawfish for not letting me work alone this morning and tackling the work like Beasts.
* Uncle Jesse’s Trench of No Return (from Saturday’s workout) has now been marked with Red Marking Paint signifying that he was trying to tear into an electrical line. “Shockingly” he escaped without injury
* According to the “Untrustworthy” Fitbit we ran close to 4 miles this morning. A little different twist to most BC’s.
* With the up and down treks of Junior and Fury Road giving YHC the feeling of being on an elevator, YHC felt the “Song for Junior” by the Beasty Boys would be appropriate for your enjoyment while reading this BB.

As always it’s my pleasure to lead an F3 workout!
