If you don’t already know, there is a 50% chance of rain every time Fury is blessed with a Crayola Q. This morning was not a dry one. That didn’t stop four of us from getting some Fury quality work in.
Here is what we did.
Warm-up – 4 sets of 5 – merkins, dips, and pull-ups, all focusing of strict form.
Then to the “fun” part. We each grabbed a block and headed down to Lake Fury.
There we did a latter of exercises, adding a new exercise each round.
- Round 1 – 10 man-makers
- Round 2 – add 20 squats
- Round 3 – add 30 KBS
- Round 4 – add 40 Merkins
- Round 5 – add 50 Bonnies
Between rounds we would do 1 round of the Brennon WOD (bear crawl 30 yards, broad jump back, 3 burpees every 5 jumps), and run a lap around Lake Fury.
We then recovered.
COT and prayer
I shared Psalm 90:12- “So teach us to number our days, that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom.”
We should always remember our time here is limited, and keep in mind what is most important. The decisions that we make, and the way we carry ourselves should always honor God. As sinners, we often lose sight of this.
Yep. We did all of that. In the Pouring freakin’ rain. It’s during mornings like this I ask myself, “why the crap do I put myself in these kinds of situations?”. I would never do any of this ridiculous stuff if it was not for the fellas who do it with me. I am reminded even more on mornings like this that it is more than a workout.
Keep coloring,
