F3 Greenwood

The excitement around the IronPax challenge has permeated through the F3 regions across the Country and has been a real pleasure to see.  I can certainly see regions taking hold of this and in turn drawing all PAX participating closer together.  We’ve had some eye opening scores.  Fortunately, we knew going in that this was going to be impossible to “police” and that was never the intent.  The committee decided going in to always take the high road and we encourage all PAX and regions to do the same.  Unfortunately, we have seen some scores raise some eyebrows and in turn be questioned.  When the competitive juices get going, it’s human nature to question what may seem impossible.  I’m here to reiterate that we need to continue to take the high road as there are too many variables that come into play (form on exercises, distance measured, weight of apparatus, etc) that can lead to a wide range of outcomes.  And while i knew this would be humbling to some degree, i did not anticipate myself sitting in 67th place after week 1.  That said, I sleep well at night knowing that i gave it my all and i trust all other PAX can do the same.

Anyway, on to week 2.  As many of you know, a good contingent of F3 Greenwood PAX are in the middle of training for the Chicago marathon.  And while this has limited my attendance at bootcamps over the last few weeks/months, rest assured we are putting in work.  Today i made my weekly Q appearance at Fury and decided to go ahead and run week 2 of Iron Pax Challenge.  3 other PAX participated and Alpo (god bless him) showed up to proctor even though he could not participate due to early morning work obligations.

Duggar procured fresh new coupons for the challenge (he was leading at Shipyard AO) and we put them to work.  Work is at bottom of this post.

COT/BOM

  • Great work by all 4 PAX and shout-out to Alpo for keeping us in check with time and form.
  • We saw a meteor/shooting star (of course the folks at Shipyard saw 2 in an effort to 1-up us)
  • Southern Belle rally gave me a push this morning and i hope it was reciprocated.  Dude was a machine on Manmakers especially.  (He also completed some walking KB swings when we were forced to evacuate the road for a passing car)
