6 guys showed up for our initial running of the IronPax challenge at Fury. It was a solid group of PAX that i knew would perform well given the workout. I showed up early to get in my marathon Speed Work that i missed on Monday. After completing my 4.25 miles of speed work, i used my Garmin to measure out 400 meters to be used for the IronPax workout. By the way, 400m in a straight line seems a lot farther than 1 lap around a track, but we didn’t have a track and i didn’t want people to have to turn around so we used a straight 400m. Start was top of Fury Road and Laurel and the end was marked by my doo-rag that was strategically placed in the middle of the road right before the major descent of Fury Road near the old Merrywood. Due to a wrist injury, Pacer served as Proctor and impromptu drill sergeant. So here is how it went:

COT/BOM
- As mentioned, Pacer served as proctor and boy did he do a good job motivating and keeping us in check. Definitely helped push me to a faster time.
- Big Bois on the road put a hurting on the ass crack.
- Bonnie Blairs continue to deliver the most pain. Even at “only” 20 reps per round.
- I’m anxious to give this another go on Thursday. I think i left a few seconds out there, but overall was pleased with my performance and that of the other PAX. A job well done.
- Seeing the guys push to the through the last 50 meters or so with Pacer barking at them was great.
