In the immortal words of the Joker, most excellently played by Heath Ledger, in one of the best movies of all time, The Dark Knight, “And Here We Go.” Here we go with the crazy murder bunnies. Here we go with the war of words on Twitter between Waxhaw and Hartsville. Here we go with more ice cream shoe references. Here we go with videos of exercises. Here we go with does a burpee require a clap at the top. (YHC says not.) Here we go with the fun and games of IPC 2021.
So, what should you expect? Anything and everything. The PAX behind the curtains are constructing workouts that will push PAX to the limit and maybe beyond of what they thought they could do. But the workouts isn’t what YHC has come to love about IPC. It has become what YHC believes is the embodiment of what F3 is and why YHC remained connected. It is “picking up the 6”. It is encouraging the brother beside you to do one more Murder Bunny, or KB swing, or bearcrawl 5 more yards. That is what F3 is. As the writer of Ecclesiastes says in 4:9-10, “Two are better than one, because they have a good return for their labor: If either of them falls down, one can help the other up. But pity anyone who falls and has no one to help them up.” At the end of the day, it doesn’t matter how many reps you had or how fast you do it in or if your form was perfect (well, maybe that matters). All that matters is did you pick your brother up when he was struggling. Did you push him through to the end? Because if we all do that in the gloom, we can all do that in life when life gets hard.
Now for the nuts and bolts of IPC 2021.
1. Registration – Last year there were 3,901 PAX nationwide that completed at least one week of IPC 2020. There were over 127 regions represented. We believe that we can get that number to 5,000 and over 150 regions. So sign-up now. The wizard behind the curtain, Kobyashi, has done his best to clean up the registration. Here’s the link to register.

2. Workouts – workouts will be posted with video every Sunday afternoon. You have until the next Sunday at midnight to submit your scores. The workouts are designed to emphasize a different type of PAX every week. Some weeks will be run heavy and other weeks will be block heavy. Again, make sure to secure yourself an IPC appropriate block from your local hardware store. It should weight approximately 40lbs +/- 2lbs. There might be some weeks that will require other materials. You will be given plenty of notice about those weeks to secure the necessary materials. Once again F3 ScarU from F3 Princeton will be publishing a modification of the workout so that all PAX can take part in IPC. Again, this whole thing is You vs. You. The competition just makes You compete harder.
3. Scoring – the scoring link will be made live weekly. You can complete the workout as many times as you want during the week and submit as many scores as you want. But, your last score will be the one used in the standings.
4. Schedule – Week 0 – starts on Monday August 30th
Week 1 – starts on Monday September 6th
Week 2 – starts on Monday September 13th
Week 3 – starts on Monday September 20th
Week 4 – starts on Monday September 27th
As the Nantan of the great men of F3Greenwood, YHC says TCLAPS to the men of F3Nation for your support of IPC. To be honest, we never imagined that it would take off like this. But, we realize that this brings regions together. It brings men together. YHC had the privilege of running the Spartan in Tryon last week with 4 other HIMs from Greenwood and the best part, besides not dying, was talking to other men of F3 from regions all over the southeast and to hear how IPC challenged and helped grow their region. And at the end of the day, that’s all that matters. To help men continue to accelerate in life. Keep pushing that rock individually and together and continue impacting your families, your work, and your communities. Good luck.
