2020 F3Nation IronPax Challenge
Who/When/Where/What
Who: Any and all Pax across F3Nation
When: September 2020
Where: Any and all regions across F3Nation
What: F3Nation-wide competition to determine 2020 IronPax
It’s back.
Ready to test your limits and “get comfortable being uncomfortable”? If so, IPC is the mechanism to do just that.
Is COVID going to cancel your favorite team’s season? Probably. And it’s probably a good time to stop living vicariously through the athletic achievements of others and start creating your own. IPC will help you do just that.
Who is the strongest, fastest, most well-rounded pax across F3Nation? The IronPaxChallenge will hopefully serve to answer this question as well.
On the following Sundays (8/30, 9/6, 9/13, 9/20), a new workout will be announced on Twitter – @F3IronPax – that is to be completed during the following week. (Written instructions as well as a video will be provided to eliminate any potential inconsistencies/misunderstandings).
As with previous iterations, we will likely have a Week 0 workout just to get folks familiar with the process and allow us to “iron” out any kinks in the data gathering process. This will take place 8/23 – 8/29 AND WILL NOT COUNT in the overall scoring.
After completing the workout, the pax will enter his score at F3Greenwood.com where a weekly ranking and overall ranking leaderboard will be displayed. At the end of September, once all 4 weeks of workouts have been completed, the Pax with the highest cumulative score will be named the 2020 F3Nation IronPax and will be showered with accolades.
Regional Competition 2020
We will also be naming a 2020 IronPax Region. So not only will your score count on an individual basis, but you will also be helping your region vie for the title. That said, participation is critical from as many Pax as possible. So, start the EH process now and get folks registered.
The inaugural 2018 version saw 500+ PAX and that number mushroomed to well over 3,000 PAX in the 2019 competition. Can we go higher this year?
Scoring:
Each weekly workout will have the ability to be scored either on the basis of time to complete or number of reps accumulated during a specific amount of time. All scoring will be done on the honor system. Official “judges” or “scorekeepers” will not be required but are encouraged for accountability of accurate timing, proper rep form and proper rep count. Scores for registered pax will be submitted each week here:

A couple of reminders:
Reminder 1: All workouts will be designed so that ALL pax can finish, even if modification is necessary. Pull-ups, for example, can be modified to jumping pull-ups or rows. Scoring will take care of itself as these movements will likely yield a slower time.
Reminder 2: It’s not our job to police the PAX nor do we intend to question anyone’s scores. Proctors are strongly encouraged and I would hope that no man would knowingly submit a false time/score. We are better than that.
Video would be great if you suspect you’ll be top 10.
Reminder 3: Regional Competition – The more PAX you have signed up AND participating the better. The objective is to increase participation from PAX of ALL abilities. No one should sit out because they think they will hurt their region.
Reminder 4: It’s only 4 total bootcamps across all of September. Don’t be intimidated. It’s free. Have fun with it and make some new friends. And remember…there is always someone better than you out there so don’t lose sleep about it.
Reminder 5: Always use #IPC2020 when Tweeting about your exploits in the self proclaimed greatest athletic competition in the ultraverse.
