No one signed up to Q the Epicenter Election Day boot camp.  AOQ was hoping for a surprise last minute pax to jump on the Q sheet.  No such luck.

One minute warning: 5:14

Disclaimer:  Given

Warm-up:

25 Arm Circles in cadence (Side, Over and Front)

15 Merkins in cadence

25 Cut the grass in cadence

25 Side Straddle hops in cadence

25 Imperial Walkers in cadence

The Thang:

11s:  Pull-ups and hand release merkins with 40 lunge steps between each set of pull-ups and merkins

Modified to 20 lunge steps after the first round (lunges suck!!)

Top finishers did abs and merkins without being told while waiting on the six.  Easy group to lead.

Mosey to the coupon cage.  (Everyone knows Pothole will have some block work)

Circle up at the cage for:

25 Overhead press with the block in cadence

25 Flutter kicks in cadence

25 Kettle Bell Swings (again – YHC is predictable)

25 Reverse Crunches/Gas Pumps

25 Alpos

25 Big boy sit-ups

COT:

During the count YHC realized his phone was on 1% so my work phone was used for videoing the name-o-rama.  Pax said it was a burner phone.  I would be driving a better car if it were a burner.

Devotion:

Primary phone on 1% so devotion was done before announcements and prayer request.  Devotion was from FridayWords.com On Twitter @fridaywords  It is written by F3-Knoxville’s Peanut and was mostly read as below:

There are disagreements about the coronavirus and reopening our country. We are having tough conversations about race and justice. People are experiencing financial strain and social isolation. There’s a lot to process. And it’s hard to know what to do.

A mentor once told me that when the world is chaotic and unclear, the best thing we can do is focus on what’s immediately in front of us…and act.

And what’s directly in front of me everyday? People. My neighbors.

Let each of us please his neighbor for his good, to build him up. Romans 13:9

During times of great societal stress and strain, we can all do something to help our neighbors.  It’s truly simple…get out of “self” and into a “serve” mentality. Service doesn’t have to be a significant, public event. It can be as easy as paying someone’s electric bill. Or calling to check on the sick or homebound.

Or standing up for someone who desperately needs it. Your family. Co-workers. The child next door.

If you really fulfill the royal law according to the Scripture, “You shall love your neighbor as yourself,” you are doing well. Romans 15:2

Love your neighbor as yourself. And where are our neighbors? They are right in front of us.

Announcements:

FNG and Cotters workout this Saturday.  EH someone.

5K for Hemophilia this Saturday.

Prayer Request:

Uncle Jesse – passing of his Father

Peaceful Post Election Day Results

NMM:

My timeline for this workout was way off.  Lunges take forever. I had a lot more work for us to do so adjustments were made.

Phone was about dead so COT was out of order.  Adjustments were made.

Often times life doesn’t go as planned.  You can make adjustments and get better or sit on your hands and get worse.

I think we got better this morning.
