Four PAX – yes, you read that correctly, unfortunately – opted for a nifty dose of the #DRP and a run-heavy Fury workout on the heels of Sugar’s absentee 1100 rep #Snotwogler. We explored some new territories and discovered that Fury has much more up her sleeve than the PAX can handle in 45 minutes. (Shameless plug – Furious Saturdays begin in TWO days! A FULL HOUR of Fury? Oh my…)
The disclaimer was given and off we went, four #Furious PAX on a mission to add a little spice to our workout.
Mosey out to Laurel Avenue and circle up for a little CoP.
- SSH x 40 IC
- Merkins x 20 OYO
- LBC x 40 IC
- Merkins x 20 OYO
Mosey down Laurel toward Bypass. Stopped along the way to hit some burpees, including the intersection with a sleepy little side street. Wrapped up the burpees just in time for a car to ease up and give us a funny look and we were off again.
Mosey down to the Food Lion parking lot, now known as #TheGrinder. Time to put in some more work.
- 20 Burpees OYO
- There are 8 rows of parking spaces. Stop at each one and do prescribed exercise:
- Merkins
- Squats
- American Hammers
Mosey down the bypass to the old Salvation Army driveway. This is a nice half circle drive that has a nifty little climb up a hill on both sides. It needs a name, but YHC’s creativity has been sapped this week. #SuggestionsWelcome
- 10-to-1 Monkey Humpers running to opposite side of driveway between sets
Off we go again down the Bypass. It should be noted that YHC has clinically diagnosed ADHD (among other noncontagious flavorings) and…oh look! Cookout has some outside eating tables!
- 50 dips
Time is running out on this little adventure and, quite frankly, I think we were boring poor LiteBrite to death. Mosey on down the Bypass, hang a left on Grace Street and head back to the flag via the path around the pond. Please disregard the two guys smoking pot in the parking lot of the dog park. And dang sure don’t feed ‘em. #Munchies
Not much else to say about our adventure. But we did get to lay hands on our brother Refugee and pray fervently for his newborn son who continues to have severe breathing issues. He will have to have surgery to hopefully correct some of the problems he is having. Prayer is the most powerful thing we have at our disposal. Will you stop reading this for just a moment and pray for Refugee, his M and their newborn baby? What is supposed to be an exciting time has been marred by difficulty, but we rest in the fact that God is fully in control yesterday, today and forever.
What an honor to lay hands on and pray for this brother this morning. He was a #BillyZane one yucky, muddy morning at the Epicenter. YHC called him over and he jumped a fence (hence the name Refugee) and has been faithful ever since. It’s a huge blessing to watch him grow as a man, husband and father.
A good time was had by all.
Juggs out.
