22 Merkins to bring awareness to the Veterans that will commit suicide today because of their inability to adapt to civilian life. We do the 22 merkins at a workout to bring awareness so that you can do what you can do once you leave the gloom. Seek out a veteran and not only tell them you appreciate them and their service, but lend them an ear and listen to them.
Devo:
Proverbs 15:1
A gentle answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger.
Meatloaf posted this verse this past weekend while Juggernaut, Meatloaf, and myself were having a discussion about something that was being aired out on Twitter. That verse pretty much sums up the way things escalated on Twitter, but made me think a little more personally about it. The easy correlation here is when we’re on social media, we should read what we type and think before we hit send. But I challenge each of you and myself to put this verse into practice with our wives and our children. Even if what you are saying is correct, if you deliver the message in a harsh way it will not be received the way you want it to be.

NMS
-“Wet Spill on Isle 9!” At first YHC thought he had brought Uncle Buck to splash Merlot, and then YHC thought maybe he had just poured a bottle of H2O over his head, but once the Haz Mat team showed up to do their testing on the gallon size puddle, it was determined that this Cat sweats A LOT!!! The amazing thing is it’s not even hot yet. He must have the same amount of H2O in him as a water buffalo. I hope he’s on CPW water system. There’s a water bill I like seeing paid.
-It’s always a pleasure to have the Nantan Flossy post at your workout, because he’s generally leading the pack in the work and in the motivational mumble chatter.
-If we can start categorizing heavy breathing as mumble chatter, then we had plenty on site this morning.
-TClaps to Uncle Buck as he shows us how to flip an odometer. By running to and from the AO’s where he posts. His 100,000 mile warranty has got to be getting ready to expire.
-TClaps to Spud and Juggernaut and all the other Pax that choose to post even when they are not at 100%. You never know who you’ll impact with commitment like that.
As always, it’s a pleasure to have the opportunity to lead a workout.
