F3 Greenwood

YHC has been waiting for a chance to grab an Epicenter Q since dropping off the tire there a couple of weeks ago, and this morning was that chance.

Weather was cold.

Disclaimer was given.

Warm-Up

    SSH x 25
    Cut the grass x 25
    IW x 25
    Plank Jacks x 25

Mosey to the cage. Everyone grab a coupon and YHC rolled the tire to the soccer field. We lined up on the sideline of the field facing the width of the field.

The Thang

PAX take turns flipping the tire between 3 and 5 times the width of the field. Whenever the tire reaches the other side, all PAX stop what they are doing and mosey to the roundhouse and come back. While the tire is being flipped, the other PAX are doing the following work for 2 minutes.

      Burpees
      Curls
Lunges with or without the coupon
Flutters with the block in the press position
      Chest Press
      Rows
      Goblet Squats
      Big Boy Sit-ups
      OH Press

Recover was called and everything was returned.

    Prayer Requests

    NMS

That tire is no joke, except for Delusional who makes it look like a Tonka tire.
Tickle said he was coming in hot and as we were starting the warm-up a white car came flying over the speed bumps and almost ended up on two wheels pulling into a spot. We all expected Tickle to pop out but alas, it was Sunshine. Tickle had his own version of coming in hot a couple of minutes later.
On one of our trips to the roundhouse, Delusional and Abacadaba were running side by side. And while it struck YHC as comical, it also reminded YHC that this is what F3 is about. Men of all shapes, sizes, races, etc, coming together to grow together physically and socially. If YHC had his phone on him, a picture would have been taken.
YHC shared that during a tense meeting yesterday, YHC was able to remain calm and represent Him through out the entire thing. It was a reminder to YHC that prayer is necessary before going into those situations. Because as men, we all have a tendency to “lose our cool” because we are wanting to be right. But, oftentimes, that doesn’t solve the issue. So, the challenge is that when things get hard or you get challenged during the day, say a prayer and remember how you act reflects on Him.

Until next time,
