YHC and Nomad were on this work thing, and were missing the official 9/11 workout, so decided to do our own up in the mountains of North Carolina.
Conditions: Crispy mountain air but somehow still humid in Flat Rock, NC

800m run in the hills
9 exercises of 11 reps
after each set bear crawl the length of the volley ball net, then 9 squats, then bear crawl back to the other end of the net
Exercises: leg raises, incline Merkins, gas pumpers, decline Merkins, WW II sit-ups, dips, burpees, Merkins, Bonnie Blairs
repeat 800m run
Time called after 2 runs and almost 2 full sets.

YHC got a couple of suggestions from the Nantan and immediately they were both nixed. We came up with our own little bit of work instead. It was Nomad’s idea to do the bear crawls, since we were in bear country. That mountain grass is cold and wet, and those mountain roads are dark and winding. Nomad about bit it on a speed bump while YHC about ran off the cliff after wandering off the paved road. Both runs were quite the adventure and were not identical despite that being the plan. Don’t think we woke up too many resort go’ers but I’m sure there were at least a couple of bears watching, waiting for us to slip up. It was a good time and good work was done in honor of 9/11.
