F3 Greenwood

F3 Nation,

YHC has been tasked with writing the wrap-up BB for IPC 2020 and one word comes to mind – CHANGE. The goal of the IPC when it started in 2018 was to develop something to crown the “Best of the Best”. But, what it morphed into this year was something that in the opinion of YHC embodies F3 as a whole and that is, it changed the lives of men, not only physically, but it changed how they evaluated themselves. And YHC believes it changed their reactions to how others evaluated them as well. And that goes far beyond a workout. That is life-changing. That is something that all of us, YHC included, needs to grow in, not only in the gloom but also at 2:00 in the afternoon at work or 7:00 at night at home. It makes me a better man, husband, father, and member of the community. The ability to accept critique and use it to change myself is invaluable. We saw PAX move from being resentful and combative to critique to accepting and appreciative of the suggestions and that was, at least to YHC, what will be remembered about IPC 2020.

A couple of TCLAPS:

F3Waxhaw – for pushing the men of F3Nation to #gofthemselves. Referring to the importance of filming yourself so you can make the necessary changes to improve yourself.

PAX like: Atari, Abu, Lowes, and VHS – and these are just a few who embraced the idea of opening oneself up to criticism and made a conscious effort to change how they viewed the challenges and themselves.

HIMs of F3Greenwood that developed, organized, and ran the IPC 2020. The amount of time and effort that they put in to running this month long event is much appreciated by YHC.

And last but not least — all those PAX who circled back to “pickup the six,” encouraging, and pushing them along the way.

Some of the Numbers

As of the writing of this BB, there were 1541 PAX across F3Nation who signed up for and completed all 4 weeks of IPC 2020.

As of the writing of this BB, there were almost 3000 PAX who signed up for IPC 2020 and completed at least one week. Hopefully, those PAX are able to complete all 4 weeks next year.

In closing,

F3Greenwood is humbled by your participation and support of IPC and we are excited about next year and will continue to look for ways to improve the challenge. We look forward to settling the “Best of the Best” debate at the 10 year anniversary event at F3Cape Fear.

Until next year,

BenGay
