F3 Greenwood

8 guys (4 boot campers, 3 rogue runners, and 1 uninformed pax) should up to Talon on 12/14 at various times.

Pax: Pacer, Special K, Quickie, Meter Maid, Dixie Chick, Sugar, Bean-O, Second Chance

The 4 Boot Campers left the AO headed towards Hunter’s Creek Subdivision. Once we made the entrance we hung a left onto the cart path of what used to be the golf course. We ran the cart paths of the 9 holes formally known as the Maple 9. Now know as Goat Track Creek. We made stops at each tee box plus a few extras along the way for 25 merkins and 25 ab reps of choice. We covered between 3-1/2 to 4 miles and made 15 stops along the way. A couple of things that were noticed. #1 it’s very dark that early in the morning. If you plan to do cart path work at that time of the morning make sure you have some sort of light. We had 2 head lights between the 4 of us and without them we may have died. #2 the rolling hills of the cart path gives a very good training ground for runners of any level. #3 it’s a shame that a golf course with that level of potential has fallen to the waste side. #4 Talon has a lot to offer as an AO. Especially when you look outside of the box and go mobile.

Speaking of something with that level of potential falling to the waste side. There’s many F3 Greenwood Pax (especially myself) that has great potential, but has fallen to the waste side. If you are one of these pax find a way to reengage. If you are not one of these pax, take a look around. It won’t take much searching before you find one. When you do, reach out to him and work on getting him reengaged.

Until the next Q,

The Meter is paid in full.
