Announcements- Feed Greenwood 5K this Saturday. The plan as of now is Talon bootcamp, 5K, then trash pick up along Woodlawn Rd in front of GCS. More details to come I’m sure. NMM- I know everybody is wanting to get their merkins in. I want to myself. But I figured I would make it more fun to get them than just the typical standard, boring merkin. It was received pretty much the way I figured it would. We didn’t knock down any major amount of them(110 to be exact), but the suck factor was off the chart. Not sure that I hate any other exercise more than I do a manmaker. BenGay took off like a scalded dog. I threw in some bearcrawls so BenGay would feel like he got his money’s worth. Inspector and Gomer Pyle were right on his heels. We didn’t hear any alarms going off, so we just assume that Tickle is watching that HR. Doctor knows best. Tickle has been a beast over the last month. Octoberbest is over, but there’s no signs of him slowing down. I’m not totally sure where this went wrong, but Quicky and Encinoman took off on what seemed to be a bearcrawl race. It was obvious they weren’t looking where they were going, because they were headed straight for the coupon pile instead of the flag. Encinoman claims that Quickie wouldn’t stay in his lane. Quickie did appear to be pulling to the right. Deadhangs are no joke. Due to the numbers, BenGay and I headed to the other set of monkey bars. We couldn’t even see everybody else. The hang started off really quiet, but as the burn kicked in, we could hear the mumblechatter and groans get louder and louder. Nothing is better after a good deadhang than a long high plank. I could tell they were were expecting me to stop around the 60 mark. When I counted off 61, the sound of disappointment was clear. It does suck when you have no clue when the pain is going to end. As everyone started to vacate the parking lot, I stuck around to work up the Twitter post. I noticed a car pull up beside me. It was a dark car like Gomer Pyle’s, and it parked where he had left from. I just assumed he had left his gloves or something and came back for them. I looked over, but couldn’t tell if it was him or not, and no one got out of the car. I figured it would be best to do my Tweet from another location, before they got the wrong idea about me. Thanks for texting and checking on me BenGay! You never know with the things we see at these places some times. Thank you guys for sharing the gloom with me this morning!
