7 Guys started their day at Emerald High School for the normal Tuesday bootcamp. Gates to the normal parking lot were closed, so we parked in the student lot. My highschool girlfriend went to Emerald and we would sometimes meet in that parking lot. I’ll leave it at that.
Of course we had some twitter chatter the day before regarding Fury vs Shipyard. This was my first trip back to Q the shipyard since late 2017. I promised a Fury level workout given the time and AO restrictions and I think it delivered. No one finished, although YHC and Beano were on last round when time was called. Long story short, you can design a very tough workout, but if folks are not going to give 110%, then that’s on them. The argument is moot if folks are going to cut reps, not complete the exercises properly and/or give a half hearted effort to get the work done.
Here is how it went down:
Fast Mosey form Student Parking Lot to Coupon Pile, grab a coupon and line up on sideline.
15-50 – (burpees in each round are burpee block jump overs)
After each round of work, back pedal across field and sprint/fast mosey back.
15 Burpees and 50 big boys;
14 Burpees and 50 chest presses;
13 Burpees and 50 monkey humpers;
12 Burpees and 50 flutters; (count right leg only)
11 Burpees and 50 bicep curls;
10 Burpees and 50 jungle bois;
9 Burpees and 50 V-Ups;
8 Burpees and 50 KB swings;
7 Burpees and 50 bonnie blairs; (count both legs)
6 Burpees and 50 Russian Twists
5 Burpees and 50 OH Presses
4 Burpees and 50 plank jacks
3 Burpees and 50 LBCs
2 Burpees and 50 thrusters
1 burpee and 50 Gorilla Struts
Time called, return coupons. Mosey back to Student lot.

- Glad to see all seven out there this morning working to get better.
- Music was my Pusher mix of Poison, Motley Crue, GNR etc.
- Burpee Block Jump overs take this workout up a notch.
- Humidity was up there. I was soaked leaving the AO.
- I harp on this a lot, but it needs to be said again. The way to get better is to push yourself out of your comfort zone. If you are not consistently doing that, you aren’t going to make any progress. We talk about F3 making better mean/leaders. That concept of pushing yourself out of your comfort zone can be applied to all aspects of life in an effort to truly get better. Apply it to work, family, faith, and fitness (whatever you want). You can’t go wrong. So next time you find yourself half assing it through a workout or taking an extended break between burpees, dig deep and push yourself forward. That’s giving 110%.
