I hate running on a track. I mean I really hate it. Which is probably the reason I have never shown up to Hustle before. It’s not the running, it’s just the boredom of running around the track that bothers me. That said, I made a commitment to the Chicago Marathon and to properly train for a blazing fast time, evidently you have to do some speed work. I always preach getting comfortable being uncomfortable, and therefore, I found myself at Hustle. 5 others joined me.
Some PAX have their own plans they are working from (which is great), but those who didn’t signed up for the following.
1/2 mile warm-up
1/2 mile at 10k pace
2 mins at recovery pace
8 rounds of 1/4 mile at 5k pace with 90 secs at recovery pace
1/2 mile at 10k pace
1/2 mile cool down
