YHC has been in a bit of a funk when it comes to consistently getting out in the gloom over the past few weeks. So when the opportunity to sub-Q for an injured Kobayashi came up, it was a no-brainer. Just needed something to get me jumpstarted.
12 other pax decided to join me in the gloom to take a shot at the Battleship. Or is it a mini-battleship since it was not a Saturday bootcamp? I forgot to ask Pusher. Anyway, the pax showed up ready to work.

- As we were getting ready to begin, YHC realized that there were quite a few newer pax who probably had not done that Battleship. Those guys hammered down and now have a baseline to work against the next time the Battleship pops up. Keep working hard and you will get better. This routine is a good way to prove how much better you’ve gotten.
- All pax were at least into the 3rd round by the time the clock struck 6:00am.
- It’s been a while since anyone pulled out a quick devotion in the COT after a workout. This used to be something that was done more frequently than it has been lately. YHC always appreciated those times and asked Pusher if he’d bring a quick word to the group this morning. He did not disappoint and brought the heat (all from memory – no weinke). A quick summary: Things don’t always go as we have planned, but rest assured God has a plan. We usually don’t see it but there is always more going on when you let God be in control. Things may seem bad at times, but He sees much more than what we can see so have faith and trust in God’s plan.
- Revelation 2:10 – 10 Don’t be afraid of what you are about to suffer. The devil will throw some of you into prison to test you. You will suffer for ten days. But if you remain faithful even when facing death, I will give you the crown of life.
