Conditions: 57° and raining
Disclaimer: Given at the 2 minute mark
At 5:15 am I started the timer and we moseyed to the coupons to grab one each and the proceeded to circle up around the picnic table on the other side of the gazebo.
With the clock still ticking:
75 SSH in cadence
15 Imperial Walkers in cadence
5 Burpees on your own
30 LBAC (forward and backwards) in cadence
It was about this point we started hearing voices coming from the bridge. It was the Ruckers. I called out an invite for them to join us promising a ruck friendly workout.
With about 30 seconds left in the warmup, I explained the main workout. Minute on minute. 45/15
At the 10 minute mark, 45 seconds of work with 15 seconds of rest for the next 30 minutes. Exercises were called out on the fly so I don’t have a good recollection of what exactly we did but I do know that work was done by all.
With 20 minutes left on the clock, the ruckers bid us a fond farewell and departed into the gloom.
At the 40 minute mark, we returned the coupons and lined up on the wall of the bath house for 2 minutes worth of wall Sits and 1 minute of balls to the wall.
Time was called at the 45 minute mark and then we counted , named, announced, requested prayers, and prayed.
mmm:
Just before the workout I made a playlist for the workout. BenGay complimented my song choices. I had to inform home that there could potentially be some crap choices interspersed throughout. My playlist didn’t disappoint on that from eithe. Re: YouTube video at the beginning of this B.B.
The AOQ was not wild about my choice of shorts this morning. I offered to take them off but he decided short shorts was better than no shorts.
45 seconds is a lot longer than you think and 15 seconds is a lot shorter than you think.
The exercises seemed to flow pretty well from one to another even though I really didn’t have a structure beyond M.O.M.
75 SSH in cadence was a crowd pleaser.
I was hoping this workout would induce a lot of mumble chatter but that didn’t seem to be the case with this crowd.
It was good to have the Ruckers join us this morning. Those packs and sandbags looked pretty heavy but those guys seemed to handle them with ease.
It was a shame we didn’t have 100% of our HC list post this morning. Pusher and Encino Man were missed.
Great work this morning.
See y’all in the gloom. I will be at an AO near you soon.
Until next time…
Peace, Love, and Chicken Grease
