YHC Note: This Backblast is late (sorry Polly), because YHC had time management issues this week.
YHC planned a fairly standard, but invigorating Dora 1, 2, 3 workout for today. However, as is often the case, things did not work out exactly as planned. Upon realizing we had nine pax, the initial thought was to do 4 pairs, but one pair would get a 3rd pax. YHC decided at the last minute to modify and have 3 groups of 3, leading to the following:
Warmup: (20 each)
Plank Jacks, Grass Cutters, Squats, & Flutter kicks
The Thang: Mosey to coupon cage, celebrate the return of the new lock, acquire coupon. Mosey to soccer field.
Dora, round 1 – Form three teams of three. One pax karaokes to the far side of the field, does 20 V-ups, then karaoke back. The other two pax do work as follows:
150 kettlebell swings, 300 overhead press, 450 chest press
Dora, round 2 – Changed so that 2 pax run on each leg and only one stays behind to do work. Runners sprint across field and do 40 LBCs. Work consists of 150 tricep extensions, 300 goblet squats, 450 curls.
Round two ran slower and so time had to be called at the end of the round.
