28 Pax joined YHC for a complex running Q that involved everyone running in multiple directions and multiple distances for 45 minutes. All Pax rejoiced at the reopening of Starbucks after an extended closure for remodeling. We were all excited to see that, with the new layout, you can use the restroom as you wait in line to order coffee! Some of the new features were appreciated, such as the fence around the outdoor seating area, which should prevent pax from wandering into traffic when they haven’t yet had their coffee.

We welcomed back Unplugged, who is recovering well from his recent ablation, and expects to be back to full speed in a few weeks!

Announcements during the COT were as follows:

1. Saturday Boot Camp at Fury, 6am.
2. Monday, 9/25, all AOs closed for convergence at Greenwood Genetic Center at 5:15am in support of Gene Week. This will have media coverage in support of the Race for the Helix 5k on October 7, 2017.
3. Rabbit Chase next week on 9/27 (Wednesday). Send Judge Judy goal pace for the Chase asap.
4. We are trying to put relay teams together for the P200 in March 24-25, 2018. If interested, contact Alpo or Sugar. Looking for 6, 9, or 12 man team, depending on interest level.
5. Not mentioned, but 2.0 workout is next weekend, Sept. 29-30 at Connie Maxwell. Sign up if you and your young’uns are interested.

All Pax are encouraged to step outside your comfort zone and challenge yourself, be it with a 5k, 10k, half-marathon, marathon, relay, Spartan, or some other challenge. Push yourself to #getbetter by going beyond what you think you can do. For myself, I’ve done things that would have been fantasies only 2 years ago. You can’t know your limits until you’ve sailed over the edge, but it’s a lot more fun when there are other guys with you on the boat! Keep pushing the rock!
