F3 Greenwood

So, what is this Rabbit Chase thing?

The inaugural F3Greenwood Rabbit Chase was held in the Spring of 2017.  It went over amazingly well with the PAX and we are bringing a new, improved Rabbit Chase to you this time, including computer chipped timing.

WHAT:  Rabbit Chase

When: 0515 on September 27, 2017

Where: Starbucks (well, technically across the street in the Hobby Lobby parking lot)

WHAT IS THE RABBIT CHASE?

It is a very simple concept.   You set a goal for yourself for the Starbucks 5K and you try to beat your goal.   Your goal may your PR or it can simply be a pace for your current fitness level (no sandbagging).  However, it has to be at a pace that will test you.  One that will make you get out of your comfort zone and push the limits.  In F3 Greenwood, we call it “redlining.”  So, you think of what your redline pace will be and submit it ASAP to Tweeter or Judge Judy.  We will make a spreadsheet of the information.

WHAT TO EXPECT ON RACE DAY

You will gather across the parking lot of Starbucks – in the Hobby Lobby parking lot.  Tweeter has the equipment to have this event be chip timed.  Pot Hole has agreed to bring a generator to power it.  We will distribute the chips to be placed on your shoe (or somewhere on you).   We will stagger the “start” so that the slowest person will begin first, and the fastest person will begin last.  The idea will be you will try to catch the person in front of you, but try not to let anyone catch you from behind.

Your time will be kept and you will tell if you are successful in meeting your personal goal.

SIGN-UP!!

It’s important to get two pieces of information to either Judge Judy or Tweeter ASAP: (1) Your goal pace and (2) Your Starbucks 5K PR (if known).  You can Direct Message either YHC or Tweeter via Twitter, or you can email me at: tmoore@greenwoodsc.gov or text me at: 864.993.5904.
