It’s Labor Day. Most PAX don’t have to get up and go to work today, so YHC assumed it would be a thin crowd. However, once I approached the fountain, I was glad to see several PAX that were motivated enough to wake up and put in some work on this Labor Day! T-Claps to everyone.
7 PAX did show up and work. Dixie Chick gave us a HC last night via Twitter, but he was MIA. That’s ok. Happens to all of us. But, for the 7 that did post, it was a “cool” 57 degrees and a nip in the air. Felt awesome.
Disclaimer was given and everyone departed. Then returned.
ANNOUNCEMENTS:
- BRR is this week. Some guys may be tapering. I mean, um, not running quite as much leading up to that event.
- Special K announced that his company is in need of volunteers for an event in Greenwood. They do pay about $20.00 per person, so if F3 wants to provide some volunteers, maybe that money could go to some fund for F3
- F3 Dad’s camp is 9/29 – 9/30. Sign up. It’s a fun time.
- RABBIT CHASE will be 9/27. More information will be provided soon, but we will need (1) your PR for the Starbucks 5k (if known) and (2) your personal “redline” goal for the Rabbit Chase. Thanks to Tweeter, this Rabbit Chase will be “chip” timed and there will be a little more organization to it. You will need to HC (to me) with this information. I may send out a Pre-Blast with a description of the event and what’s needed.
PRAYERS
- Unplugged will be having his heart ablation procedure is this week;
- Various injuries of the PAX;
- Those that have been impacted by Hurricane Harvey and the first responders
NMM
- YHC enjoyed running with Special K today. He told told me that I was “dragging him along” today. However, I felt the exact opposite. I felt he was dragging me along. That’s the beauty of running with somone, which, by the way, I rarely do.
- Great 2nd F afterwards at Panera. Panera’s coffee isn’t near as good as Starbucks, and it’s more expensive, but certainly had a great time talking and laughing with the PAX that were there.
Until next time, JJ is out…..
Peace
